71st Annual Golden Globe Men’s Fashion

I hope it is not too late to talk about the Golden Globe as I just recently watched it the night before. I am a sucker for award show, it’s nice seeing my favourite celebrity get rewarded after the outstanding performance they gave in a film. Even though the male fashion can be kind of boring however once in awhile it’s nice to see someone who stood out.

I have been asked to wear formal for a past few events, so I know how hard it is to match formal wear! Will update it in a post soon.

A big roundup would be that coloured suit is the thing to go this award season gala. The top 3, Leonardo DiCaprio, Channing Tatum and Bradley Cooper wore simple black suits, white shirts and bowtie or tie. Which I think is simple yet elegant, however for us commoner without their good looks, we might end up looking like a waiter. Therefore my advice would be the cutting of the suits is so important!

Coloured suits are beautiful! I love how the other 3 celebs wore it beautifully. Seth Meyers on his navy blue suit, Usher in his very beautiful burgundy colour and Matthew McConaughey deep green suit. It looks great but to be honest, it is not cheap for a suit, however we cannot be wearing the same coloured suit to different events, therefore owning a variety of it will be costly. I definitely love to have the variety but it would be too expensive to afford well-fitted suit and different colours of them.

All in all I think Usher is my choice of best dressed.

I want to talk about Jared Leto as well. Congrats to him and all the other winners on winning. Leonardo, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams, they were my favourites.

What does everyone think of Jared? I know he doesn’t looked like himself, or maybe it’s just me. I like what he wore especially his scarf. The amount of detail to his outfit was great.

He was rocking long hair and his scruffy facial hair and for me, I think he is a little too skinny for this look. I would love to see him shaved and short hair, but that’s my opinion. I still think he is gorgeous though and the weight he had to lose for his movie, Dallas Buyer Club was scary actually but it’s admirable. Just stating I like him short hair and shaved, that’s all.

PUSH iPhone Wallet

I have been trying to remodify my blog to be more user friendly and easier to search existing post. I still was not able to find a nice theme that I imagine using it, so give me some time, with my blog and my posts.

A basic post today. I was scrolling through some websites and found out about this! First thought in my mind was why didn’t I know about this?! Could have gotten it for myself!

PUSH iPhone Wallet
 by BonjourLife

Carrying credit cards or money and iPhone in separate pockets, out in the open need extra vigilance but not with PUSH iPhone Wallet. PUSH Smartphone case/wallet has a secret hidden cavity that pops open at the push of a button. This case is a sheltered, trendy and prudent solution of the problem with auto-locking, audible click shutting and keeps your cards from falling and out of exposure with front facing drawer. These cases are compatible almost with all IPhone sets. Push the button on the back in the time of need and then slide it back inward. Auto-locking mechanism gets in the game by letting you know possessions are safely locked inside. Three cards or 2 cards with cash can be stored in it. Artist Series of PUSH Wallets are also available in limited edition and will not be reproduced. The iPhone Wallets will be in the market in 2014. PUSH iPhone Wallet (3) PUSH iPhone Wallet (2) PUSH iPhone Wallet (1)
Watch the video and grab the whole idea!

I do not own any of the stuff written above. I was only sharing a cool new gadget to everyone.

I totally love this, it would be great for clubbing, bar and many stuff that doesn’t require male in general to carry a bulky wallet. However the space to insert the cards could be limited and I am afraid that it will make my phone rather bulky. I guess I can’t come up with full conclusion without using it.

Wow, so I found out this PUSH casing is not launch yet, however it is possible to pledge to back this project up. (link) Currently it has reached it’s goal, so I guess this case would be coming out soon! However the case is priced from $38 – $50 which I actually think it is quite pricey for a iPhone case, but if it’s good, sometimes it is worth the money.

I am not sponsored nor advertising for this product, this post is written based on personal preference and review of some sort.

Dive Master 500 Mechanical

First of all! Sorry for my lack of post recently, due to my assignments and just my daily chores. The good news is I am back! That’s right! I am done with my degree so now with nothing much in my life, I will be focusing full time here. Fashion is a hobby of mine and it would be awesome if I made a full time career out of it.

Enough excuses, let me go right into my blog post. This few days I plan to reorganize my blog a little bit, do some theme changes and maybe organize my topics. By 2014, I will surely make my blog a place to be for any fashion lovers out there. =)

Victorinox Swiss Army

Firstly, Happy 21st birthday to myself! (16-12-2013) Yes, for you that don’t know I turned 21 recently. It was an amazing birthday! One of them was receiving a valuable birthday present from my father. My father believed guys should have a luxurious timepiece at the age of 21, therefore this gift was truly one of the best.

To be honest, I do not do much research on a particular timepiece, all I know is the simple stuff. When my dad suggested I went and find a timepiece that I like, I was not sure what I should be looking at. This particular watch was love at first sight.

When I wore it on.

I plan to do a small review of this product. After getting it, I went home and did some research, the particular timepiece is from the Dive Master 500 Collection, where it is a mechanical watch. This is actually a diver’s watch that can be underwater up to 500m deep. Even so, it looked nice that I would buy even if I am not a diver.

The timepiece comes in 5 different colour, black, grey, blue, red and brown.

was actually choosing between the black, grey and brown initially, but I went with the brown, because I wanted something to look more my age and more edge to it rather than the normal black watch and my skin was relatively fair, so brown was my pick.

Isn’t it a beauty? The brown is very unique as well.

The functions are listed below.

  • Swiss Made
  • Ø 43 mm Stainless steel case (316L)
  • Mechanical self-winding movement (ETA 2892.A2)
  • Scratch-resistant, triple coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal
  • Water resistant to 500 m (50 ATM, 1650 ft)
  • Black Ice PVD case
  • Luminescent hands, hour and bezel markers
  • Screw-in caseback
  • Protected screw-down crown
  • Date calendar
  • Genuine rubber strap

Weirdly enough I could not find an actual price for it, but I got mine at approximately RM3300 (USD 1000), I must say it was a little pricey but it’s a luxury watch. Therefore I am truly thankful to my dad for willingly spending this much for me.

Info is from Victorinox Swiss Army.

Have a look and let me know do you like it. Do leave comments telling me what you want me to write or review and even your opinion. I receive a huge number of emails recently and will get back soon, sorry for the delay as I was not free to reply. Thanks for the support guys, Christmas is nearby, will do a Christmas shopping post soon. Cheers!

Kiel James Patrick

Before I start my post, I want to apologize for my lack of post. Haven’t been posting for 2 weeks. 2 reasons though: 1) my degree is finishing in 3 weeks time, workload is unbearable. 2) my house wifi was down for 1 week.

Enough with my swallow excuses, let me make it up with this and upcoming posts. Give me 3 weeks time and when I finish my degree, I will post more regularly.

Kiel James Patrick.
Ever heard of the brand? For those who did not, me neither. I recently found out that this brand existed after a kind friend of mine got me a gift from this brand. I must say it was lovely. Shout out to them! (#shoutoutsunday)

Something similar to this. I looked it up on the web and found out about this brand. By the way the anchor bracelet above: Cape Spencer Approaches, price: $38.00.

“The inspiration for the Kiel James Patrick brand was brought on by years spent exploring vintage clothing stores, antique shops and friend’s attics in search of the age-old quality, style and construction once easily found in American made goods.” Quoted from Kiel James Patrick. Visit their home page to understand more. (here)

Kiel James Patrick focuses more on accessories. From bracelets, belts to ties and bow-ties. They even have shirts. Most accessories are unisex. I actually love the vintage style of their accessories. It is not something that we can find so easily. Most brands do not focus much detail on the accessories made therefore it is interesting that I found this brand.

A glance through their items for sale and if you are kind enough, my Christmas wishlist. Feel free to get them for me. =D

Lucky Sailor, price: $85.00.

Brigg’s Capeside Docks, price $88.00.

Look how good the guys is wearing it. Vintage!

Huck Starboard, price $65.00.

Mixed Signals, price: $75.00

The American Legacy, price: $38.00.

Basically that’s that. I am in love with the new bracelet my friend got it for me. Would love to get more, but no stores in what I stay. However looking through the price range of these stuff, I must say it’s a little bit pricey. It won’t be something I would spend to much on, but I guess once in a while might be okay. Let me know what you guys think! Cheers.

MR. PORTER.COM Global Style Campaign – Fall Edition

I know it doesn’t snow in Malaysia, but I love fall fashion so much! I believe it’s the time of the year when you can wear a jacket out, but it’s not too cold either. I am completely nuts about fall fashion. Definitely I took this opportunity to post about what I would wear for fall if I experienced it.

Talk a little bit of my own personal style if you haven’t already knew. My personal style varies though. I don’t stick to a specific style but I love to try on new stuff. Some days I like simple sophisticated style, some days I just love to test the limits. I do dress in styles that suit me as well, like my image. My style may not scream loudly for attention but it’s decent and hopefully when I walk in the streets, people do notice the details I wore.

Topman “Spray On Jeans” Campaign

Skinny jeans has been around over the decades, from rockers such as The Rolling Stones  and Sid Vicious. In this few years, skinny jeans started to come back maybe three years back. However Topman boasts their Spray On Jeans in over thirty styles and rinses. For this year’s fall fashion, Topman has came out with this spray on jeans which to be honest, is pushing the boundaries of men fashion.

I was walking pass Topman this afternoon and saw the campaign for spray on jeans by the store and it actually fascinates me. Skinny jeans are getting skinnier and skinnier every year and right at the moment I saw this, I thought why not blog about it. These spray on jeans looked like tights and for a male, I swear wearing something so tight is not comfortable.

Let me show you what I saw first:

I will not lie, the models looked great! I don’t believe every guy can wear skinny jeans that are so tight. You have to have a slim legs and need to be tall. This type of fashion most probably can only been seen in the Europe. For myself, I think I can wear them, but I am thinking whether to get them though, because it is really a very tight fit and I must say, tight jeans are not comfortable. Well, I guess I have to try one on to determine. What do you guys think?

A little preview of what is the Topman Spray On Jeans campaign is all about. Give me your comment on what you think. Cheers!
