I’d rather be in NYC

LookBook recently had a competition a few months back on to post your outfit that you would wear if you were to be chosen to attend New York Fashion Week. Being the fashion addict that I am, I definitely pull together some outfit and start shooting.

One of them was trying to look formal with hints of casual in it.

I must say I have quite a few number of jackets at home, but because of the weather in Malaysia, I couldn’t wear them on a regular basis. This Zara jacket is one of my favourite which looks bring a sense of youthful formality to it. I got this in the states and I must say it was love at first sight!

The t-shirt was from a thrift shop in Bangkok. Basically it shows how I love NYC. Never been there before, but hopefully one day I will. Thrift shopping actually is good since you can get nice items very cheap. My t-shirt cost only RM15/$5usd.

Who says holding a notebook isn’t cool? Thought it added a sense of formality and passion to the outfit. Starbucks notebook are actually well design and it’s just nice holding it.

The maroon chinos makes the outfit looked more modern and interesting.

Heading out to class or just a normal scroll at the park or even shopping and lazy to think of what to wear? I believe we all have days there a t-shirt and jeans come into our mind the minute we wake up and that is fine. Simple may not always be bad. Most days all I crave to wear is something like this, but to make it stand out, I wear my favourite sneakers which is striking.

Night Out 1

Ever question what to wear for a night out drinking with your friends? I find guys won’t usually give much thought into dressing for a night out. Usually it’s just a jeans and t-shirt or polo. For me, I would definitely consider what I wear especially for night activities. It won’t hurt putting a little bit more effort dressing to bars and clubs.

I suggest putting on a pair of chinos for a night. I admit it’s not easy to match and most of the time I’m figuring what shirt to match my colour chinos, but a black shirt or t-shirt seldom would go wrong.

It’s amazing sometimes what thrift shop are able to offer. I was glad I went Bangkok earlier this year and got a look at some of the stuff in thrift shops. Surprisingly, it’s design are not bad at all and it’s cheap, therefore more quantity to get! I definitely recommend guys to check out thrift shop for cheap clothing once in a while. Hope I inspired you to wear something rather than t-shirt and jeans on nights out. What’s your opinion on it? There’s definitely more to come on these topics.

Back to School Outfit 2

Ever want to head to class without trying to look like you dress too much, but want to feel like you made an afford on it? Colours! That’s what I do, try to find a colour of your choice that you want to wear and try mix and match. It don’t have to be overly put together, simple T-shirt and Chinos or Jeans will do.

This photo was actually posted on my LookBook awhile back, it’s simple and fits exactly right for classes, not for places that are too cold though, but the temperature here allows me to dress like this. Blue was my colour theme that day. What do you guys think about it? I wore a snapback because of my bad hair day. What are your thoughts on it?

Tip of the day: You don’t necessary need to show the whole world when you have a bad hair day, just wear a simple snapback to sort this problem out!
